How to Print Calendars: A Complete Guide

1. Download the PDF from any calendar page
2. Open in your PDF viewer (Adobe Reader, Preview, etc.)
3. Print at 100% scale on the correct paper size

Tip: Our calendars are designed for one paper size. If you print US Letter on A4 (or vice versa), you may get extra margins or slight scaling issues.

Always print at 100% or "Actual Size" for best results.

• 100% / Actual Size: Prints at exact dimensions. Calendar fits perfectly.
• Fit to Page / Shrink Oversize: Scales down if needed. May add extra margins.
• Custom Scale: Use only if you want a smaller/larger print intentionally.

Match the orientation to the calendar layout:

• Portrait: Taller than wide. Most monthly calendars use this.
• Landscape: Wider than tall. Common for yearly one-page calendars.

Most PDF viewers auto-detect orientation, but double-check if the preview looks wrong.

For multi-page calendars, you may want double-sided printing:

• Flip on long edge: Standard for calendars. Flip like a book.
• Flip on short edge: For calendars flipped like a notepad.

Calendar is cut off at the edges

Your printer may have non-printable margins. Try: (1) Check "Fit to Page" option, or (2) Use a printer with borderless printing capability.

Calendar looks blurry or pixelated

Ensure you're printing the PDF directly, not an image. Download the PDF and open in a PDF viewer, don't print from a web browser preview.

Dates are misaligned

Make sure you're printing at 100% scale. Auto-scaling can cause misalignment. Also verify the correct paper size is selected.

Lines are too light or too dark

Check your printer's quality settings. "Draft" mode uses less ink but may be too light. "Best" or "High Quality" gives cleaner lines.

Ink is smudging

Let the print dry before handling, especially on glossy paper. Consider using quick-dry paper or adjusting print speed settings.

PDF won't open or print

Try a different PDF viewer (Adobe Acrobat Reader is most reliable). If the file is corrupted, re-download from the calendar page.

Paper Types

• Standard copy paper (20-24 lb): Good for everyday use. Inexpensive and works with any printer.
• Heavier paper (28-32 lb): More durable, less ink bleed-through. Great for calendars you'll use all month.
• Card stock (60-80 lb): Thick and sturdy. Perfect for calendars that need to stand up.
• Matte photo paper: Vibrant colors if your calendar has colored elements. Writes well with pens.

Printer Types

• Inkjet: Good for color calendars. May smudge if not fully dry.
• Laser: Crisp text and lines, no smudging. Best for black-and-white calendars.
