How to print a PDF as a poster?

Use the Poster option in Adobe Acrobat to divide one large PDF page across several sheets that can be trimmed and joined.

Tile the PDF across multiple sheets

  1. Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader and select Print.
  2. Under Page Sizing & Handling, select Poster.
  3. Adjust Tile Scale and Overlap, then enable cut marks if they will help with assembly.
  4. Review the sheet layout in the preview before printing.
  5. Trim the overlap, align the sheets, and tape them together from the back.

For a calendar poster

Start with a high-resolution PDF and run a small test before printing every tile. A modest overlap makes adjoining dates and grid lines easier to align.
